Fine I'll go but I need to know a bit in advance, and it pretty much has to be on a weekend. 100 bucks max is my budget.

It'll probably be more than a $100, and yes, it will be a weekend.

I'm definitely confirmed! :thumb:

And for all the people that can't afford it, just remember; unless you got the time and money to fly to the states, this maybe a once in a lifetime deal! :amen: Sell parts, donate organs, 3-4 jobs a week-whatever it takes!

How much over 100 bucks. Again, I don't have much horsepower to test, so all I'm really able to do is benchmark a VNT with a porsche IC and cold air, and nothing else really.

Not sure, waiting for Chris to get back to me.

well if it's like 150 bucks, I'd rather spend it on something like say, an S1 cam...

Perhaps post on www.turbo-2.com Western Canadian TDers site. I am sure some Alberta guys would be into making the drive.

Good idea, thanks. Well we have 3 confirmed so we will see. Will and I will glady pay more so we'll see what Chris says when he gets back to me.

Save your money and get the cam, I am sure it will be around $2-300 dollars as were paying for Pauls time and the dyno.

But the biggest difference is Paul isn't there to tune your cal. I was there a few months ago and got like 15 runs in for $80,

sweet hookup! who is this paul you speak of? and how can he tune a stock cal?

if i can get a specific date i will try to get it off as my leak is fixed and it now holds 25psi with no problems i would like to see what this 15 extra psi has done for me since my last run.

Dude, where have you been :p . Paul Velicky of Turbo's Unleashed. He does custom cals and sometimes goes around and will make them 100% on a dyno.

How far out in are we talking? It might be worth it to me but which car would depend on the timeframe.

I am hoping Langley, which is a 5-6 hour drive for you.

I would assume so, it would be a TU dyno day. Perfect time to step up to one Rob, :thumb:

BTW, you have a bad injector or harness, getting code 26, grrrr, :blah:

i wasn't aware that paul from turbos unleashed lived in our area. thats sweet i was going to go with a megasquirt II setup but if he's local a custom cal now sounds pretty good. i was at thier website and it says they are based in the southwestern states. so does paul do the calibrations in vancouver and send them to TU?

WOP'R
05-17-2006, 09:45 PM
4cefedomni, he doesnt. That why its gonna cost extra to get him out here.

.................:faint: your just full of good news arent you Simon! i had those injectores cleaned and flow tested before i sent them to you, there flowing at 95% rate. so im hoping thier not the problem, but at this point anything could happen with this car!....now weres a vomit emiticon when you need one

4cefedomni

i see well thats not good. how have your experiences been with the custom cals i don't want to have to keep sending back my computer to get it right.

Paul lives in Detroit but we can fly him out here and he can do our cals one on one, so we get the most out of our cars. Buying a cal gets you a pretty good deal but he can fine tune it and thats the difference.

Drrrrrrrrrrr, lol! I am sure he could whip one up, of course you would have to buy one of his cals first.

I was asking when you are looking to have it, even a general timeframe would be helpfull. Although it is nice to know it's only a 5-6 hour drive.

The way I am treated when I cross the boarder has prevented me from going for over a year. I can't immgaine trying to cross while explaining the "dyno day".
