So I have given up on my hybrid project and going back to 8v. I got the motor to run as a 16v hybrid but didn't get the headgasket to seal and wouldn't hold water. So I am selling the hybrid parts.
Here is the list:
*2000 Dodge stratus 2.4L DOHC head (been plugged and is ready to go as a hybrid)
2000 Stratus intake
FWD-P Hybrid Cam gears
FWD-P Hybrid Head studs
Magnecore 8mm Hybrid plug wires from FWD-P
SRT-4 Turbo with only 4,000 miles
SRT-4 stainless flexpipe
I am wanting to sell it all as a package for $600. Will go $500 without the turbo and flexpipe.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f34ggaMai8U Here is a video of the initial start up. It was fired up less than 10 times but started on every try.
If you need pics let me know and I can try to get some on here.
If you have any questions you can PM me or here is my cell:304-481-4471.
Thanks

I didn't do all the research that I should have when I put it together. I tried a 2.2 conversion and didn't realize there was a possibility that the pistons could touch the valves. I put 2 headgaskets on and the bottom one didn't seal right. It was a lot of work and time but I'm just tired of working on it and want something that I know is going to run just fine.

Want to trade some 8V stuff for your 16v stuff?

I wonder what the shipping cost would be to 47567. I have stepped away awhile from the caravan, but I would be interested in this set up for the van. I need to go back and see all what I would need to do,but I do have a fresh block and ready to build something. I think this would work out very nice for what I have in mind. :eyebrows:
I probably would not need the turbo and downpipe. BTW...What size is the downpipe?
Thanks

Captain Chaos: I'm not sure yet. I'm wanting $$$ for now but I may be interested in 8v stuff.
87 Charger: I'll find out what the shipping would be to your area and get back to you on that. The Downpipe is 2 1/4"

Hmm, that may save me a bit on what I want to do. I want to build a 2.5L hybrid for my Konvertible, then maybe I can have some serious fun with some of the local ricers.
