my car is out of commission right now so im planning to ride in with one of the windsor boys (if there are any going?)

Yup, Saturday the 24th. We will meet up starting at 10am (rain or shine) in the Kohl's shopping center parking lot on Lee Rd, just behind the Wendy's. Get there in time to get your morning coffee or snack at McD's across the street. UoM is having a home game so it will likely be a busy morning at that exit.

Lee Rd is exit 58 off of US-23. It is the first exit south of I-96.

We will pass out maps and directions before leaving there about 11am or so. It is about a 2 hour drive through some of the hilliest and twistiest roads in SE Michigan, ending up at a McDonalds in Ypsilanti Mich.

Weather is currently looking better than this coming weekend. But it will probably rain in the morning and turn beautiful in the afternoon as that is the pattern we are used to. :D:D

I'm going to have to swap a new set of DR's on it for the ride....getting down to the wear bars on these ones although I drove through the rain today and it was like nothing was going on.

I wish I wasn't kidding, but I was. Paint is not completely wheeled out, trim needs to be painted, windows back in, brakes fixed, figure out why engine is missing, ect...

So yeah, if you can get it off, I call shotty :thumb: lol

Have to do a lot of little stuff on the car tomorrow.....oil change, new DR's (current ones are past the wear bars), and have to detail it.....damn I'm going to have to wake up early Saturday.

Bringing a full car.....well almost me and three other people. Everyone I've told about the tour after talking to Ryan about it wants to go!

Supposed to rain all day and be in the 30's / 40's.

I drove the route yesterday to check for construction or detours, the route is fine.

I would suggest that tomorrow, before leaving, check the morning news on tv to see where weekend construction is at that may affect your trip out to the meeting point, and leave early enough to get there in time.

Anyone that is coming MUST be at the meeting point in time so we can pass out directions and get waivers signed. We won't wait much for someone who is late.

The noon news today said 40% chance of showers in the morning with the chance tapering off as the day progresses. In the 12 previous years we've done this tour, we have started with rain or sprinkles in the morning about half the time. And only one or two years I remember did we finish the tour in the rain.

But this is a fun drive even in the wet! Until we went the first year, I didn't know roads this hilly and twisty existed in southern Michigan. If you've never gone to Hell, (but wanted to) this is your chance! We have a short stop there for a photo op/potty break. It is a two hour drive without the stop in Hell, so make sure your car has plenty of gas also.

Sorry you can't make it DSC. :(

Where were you guys??? I was stuck doing the brakes on my wifes car in the subdivision right behind the McDonalds. I could of used a hand!!! LOL, I hope everyone had a good time, its a nice area. I worked at that intersection(KSI) for 8 yrs and lived 1.5 miles up the road. Thats my mother in laws house I was at today. If I would of remembered I would of come over just to say hi. I think the colors were a bit better last week, but its still some good scenery. Next year we'll be there for sure.:thumb:

ps....yes those round abouts suck......my mother in law was hit by a motorcycle in there...its like figure 8 racing going through there....pick a hole and floor it....
