Dude that guy is full of shyt or I've just never been lucky enough to "tap" the outer with a wrench to pop it loose from the taper. More like a 2lb sledge lol. And he loosens the inner by hand? LOL right.:hail:

I gotta think that you would be better off to replace the entire rack, if possible. The other side is probably just as trashed.

Never paid that much. Besides, with a reman rack you know it's going to last for years and the seals are new, etc. Lets see, $89 minus $34 = $55. So you spend $55 more. Wow. Whatever. To each their own. You people are tight, for sure.

yea im a cheap ---. u should see my motor mounts. if its not broke. dont fix it. if the rack shits out on me then i can return the inner tie rod i replaced and get whole rack. so if u wanna donate the extra 55 bucks for my rack be my guest. this was just a thread about replacing inner tie rods.

Find me a reputable rack remanufacturer and I will think about using one.
