I know this has probably been covered, but I couldn't find it....Whats the best way to remove the skunk stripe off a SC?? I wasn't sure if I should try to peel it with a heat gun, use a solvent or just take a DA to it. The car has the usual sun burn and I want to start getting it ready to paint....Thanx

3M (I think) makes a "stripe remover" disk that attaches to your drill. It's like a big rubber eraser, and it takes them off slick. I found mine at the local automotive paint place, but I think NAPA carries them also.

They are called pinstripe erasers and look like this.

Well guys, after looking for a supplier locally I came across another 3m product, a large area stripe removal wheel. I was talking to a buddy about it and it happens he has one and let me try it out. It works awesome. Its a bit pricey though at about 80 bucks, but I think its worth it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!:D
