I'm having a problem with studdering while cruising. All grounds have been checked, new coil, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, checked all connections.. only thing let I can think of besides LM is the HEP.

Let me know if you have one. Thanks

New or used?
Genuine Mopar or any replacement?

I recommend Mopar for most of the sensors, but to each their own.

Go to the dealer and buy a new one. Cheap insurance.

I did go to the dealer, they told me they didn't have one. However they wouldn't get off the computer to look physically. They said if they had to ship one in it was going to cost me 110.00. That sorta seemed high to me.

They're nuts, I just got one a couple of months ago for my 89. PN 8058060, around $60.

If it stutters (like a timing issue) when it's hot, check to see if the metal encoder wheel UNDER the HEP is loose. They notoriously get sloppy in their old age and cause problems like this--we had to replace our distributor last year due to this very issue.

Check out www.thedodgegarage.com. Then goto "turbo database" and click on #35 (Common failure items/Mistakes) and scroll down the page until you get to #4.

A+++ on using MOPAR parts if you can.
