So today I figured I would do the first oil change on my Caliber SRT-4. It currently has just over 3000 miles and the 'Oil Change Required' message has been nagging at me every time I start the car up since about 2500 miles. Problem is, I can't find M1 0w-40 anywhere! I've tried Walmart, K-mart, O'reilly's, NAPA, the local Chrysler dealership, even a Penzoil oil/lube place and nobody has it. What the hell???
The closest thing I could find was Royal Purple 0w-40 at O'Reillys but I'd much rather use Mobil 1. Where are you guys finding this stuff??

FINALLY managed to find a case of the M1 0w-40 at CarQuest after checking six other places!!
Have any of you seen M1 0w-40 at Walmart? Those five quart jugs they have are a WAY better deal.

Found 0w-30 Mobil 1 at AutoZone for the v6 ford fusion. Why is it they call for the 40?

According to the Mobil website, "Mobil 1 0W-40 provides the widest range of protection -- providing the extreme cold start protection of an 0W grade and the high temperature protection of an SAE 40 grade."

Over on srtforms, in the past when ever there is an oil pissing contest, the SRT engi-nerds pop in and say although the book calls for 5w-30, they use 0w-40 for that very reason. Better flow at cold start up, and 40w protection when warmed up.

advanced has it here, cant believe that the dealer doesnt have it as it goes in the liberty turbo diesel, crossfire, and a few others, they are sol when the tech drains it out and then no oil to go back into it.

Wal-Mart has it, but I usually have to hit all 5 walmarts in town to round up the 10 quarts I need for my audi. If anyone knows where I can get it in the jugs, please let me know! Just realized that my local autozone price matches, so now I just buy one quart from walmart, and get the rest at autozone.
I can get it all day at Advance Auto Parts and Autozone. Must be a regional thing.
