View Full Version : A cry for help! -SBEC-
Bubba's burner took a dive on us and I believe we're out of blank chips. Can any help us with selling us a 1990 socketed chip with a 3 bar MAP setup and a stock timing curve?
We're trying to hit the track in 2 weeks.
Thanks for any help guys.

In the long run you will probably be met with more success by getting a new burner shipped to you and picking up a UV bulb for a standard florescent fixture.
My .02 of course.

I'd burn you a chip but I haven't done a SBEC yet. I'll see if its the same as a SMEC, if so, I'll burn one for you.

The SMEC and SBEC use different chips which are not interchangeable.

Not if you have Quantam's adapter, to which I have, :eyebrows:
Speaking of that, DAB, you have the converter or do you need a SBEC chip?

I really need to get caught up on some of this stuff.
I just want a chip that can read a 3 bar MAP for right now. My dad says he may be buying a burner so Bubba can get us going again.
I guess we'll see what happens.

If you don't have the adapter, I can't help you, :(
No adapter... Christian (Bubba) ended up buying another burner. Hopefully I can get it dialed in, in 2 weeks.

I would get an adapter, a burner a few 27sf512 chips and a moates chip extender so you can easily make the changes even at the track.
