I need to fix the lower door skin on both of my front doors, classic pinch seam rot has really gotten the drivers door and the passenger door is starting to show the bulge also.

Was going to buy the lower skins that are supposidly made for P bodys from sherman associates. $24/side and they would need to be trimmed down as there made for 2dr cars. Has anyone ever bought any of these aftermarket repair panels and can give an honest review on the quality of them ? There probably all made by the same factory in china or taiwan anyways. But if there total flimsy junk, then I'll just buy a generic door bottom and go from there.

I havnt specifically bought them for a P body but i have seen the 'universal' ones, its pretty basic a long piece of metal with one bend in the bottom for the bottom lip, its all straight so if the door has some curve you'll have to make that. They seemed to work ok, so go for it

There still quite a few P-bodies in the wrecking yards, it would probably be a lot easier to get some good doors off a junkyard car rather than trying to patch yours. I did patches on a set of Chevy truck doors a long time ago and it was a pain to get them looking right, much easier to just swap the entire door.

Road Trip:D Dave is right though you could probably pick up a rust free door, or close to that for a pretty fair price, a local yard might be able to order you one from another yard, i know a local play here does that.
