i dont know how people got the srt4 ic into an 2 door lbody.

I got mine installed right behind the bumper. it mounded perfectly. I knew it was too good to be true, I got one side piped with no problem, But...

the side by the alt(side points down) I overlooked that there is a pulley that goes there and the way i wanted to run the pipe will cause clearance problems.

can anyone take some detailed pics of how they overcame this feat. I am just frustated at this point and ready to pull the whole front end off and remove the srt4 and put a same side in and out ic in the car.

thanks in advanced for the detailed pics.

I was thinking of removing the charcoal cannister and relocating it and having it get into the engine compartment form the down spout that way. pro/cons?

thanks!

is this in your shelby charger? Im guessing so. Lots more room in a charger, but in my GLHT Im going to take the passenger side inlet and hack it completely off. THen Im going to weld an aluminum tube 90 on it and have the inlet run over to the drivers side of the IC. This way both the inlet and outlet of the IC are on the same side. MUCH easier to pipe it this way!!

yes a charger, I thought about doing that. I'm going to rip the front end off again and try and re-work that end tank.

ive really slacked in work on the charger since i got the spirit.

I have one in my 87 GLHS, I ended up cutting the end tank off on the passenger side and turning a pipe back across the front so the inlet and outlet pipes are in the same area. I tried turning the pipe around the alternator bracket, it worked but the alt bracket was rubbing on the lower hose and I think sooner or later it would rub a hole in the rubber hose.
do a search on td.com for the pictures.

i worked on this after work yesterday when I had the motivation. I was able to have it come down go past the waterpump pulley, then go up where the charcoal cannister was via a 180 bend, then i used 2 45 deg bends to get me right by the valve cover and I have no clearance issues. I'll take detailed pics later today. the one thing i had to do was cut the 180 pipe at the 90 deg mark, and rotate it a few degrees and re-weld it back up

I have one in mine, I mounted it flat, w/ the outlets pointed up.

Those aren't the greatest pics, but you can see basically what I did.
