What should I tell the parts guy to give me? I am getting rid of the half shaft in my CSXT and want to run equal length. DodgeZ thought that the V6 axles might be bigger than the TBI's.

Anybody know what car I should tell them to give me the axle from? (going in my 88 CSXT w/ hybrid 555/520)

The heftiest long axle that I've heard of was for the Dodge Dynasty (C-body, I think) with the 3.3L V6.

All cars except the L bodies and vans, have the same length, short or long but the stronger looking ones are the 3.0L, 3.3L for some reason and also the large solid looking inner joint, the pot is thick and heavy, I'll post a pic later. There the 88-90 GKN design, OD of housing is 3.560. The V6 ones are the 91-93 Saginaw Tripot design, no pics of that one.

Any automatic right axle with be fine though except the earlier weaker ones, that had the tin shielding on the inner pot.
