I wired up an inline Walbro fuel pump using the signal wire that goes to the stock pump. The problem is this wire only has just over 8 volts and won't switch the relay that I'm using for the inline pump. I checked the voltage at the factory relay and it is only 8.9 volts. I'm a little bit baffled on why the voltages are so low. (would't be the first time though) What other wire can I use that will have good voltage with the ignition on? The car is a 89 Lebaron.

Thanks,
Steve

I was told to do it this way, stupid proof and works, that's what I am using for my 2nd pump.

Power for the relay/pump-alternator, ground is obvious, pump wire obvious, then use the coil B+ to trigger the relay.
