Does anybody know for certain what the FFV injectors flow at 55psi? Ive read they are +15%, +18%, or +25% more fuel over stock injectors.. Which one is it?

Search the part number on google and you'll find it.

Not really what I was looking for.. Whos done the math and knows how they flow at the stock turbo fuel pressure?

i swear ive doon it before but its not workin out how i thought now? i can tell you that i put them in my omni, dropped the fuel pressure down to 50 psi (no vac line connected) and it ran 10.2 a/f ratio at 18 psi of boost and a map clamp, thats why i left it rich. im having troubles tryin to figure out +20 and +40?

most say +18, but others have said more like +40s. i wna say +18s is a good guess because of the difference in fuel pressures run between the ffv car and a turbo car

Send them to RC Engineering in Torrance CA, and you will get a flow chart for each injector with the spray pattern and a cleaning/rebuild. it was $100. last I sent a set many years ago before it was easier to just change them out whenever:)

I've run them on a 3 bar + 20 cal, then switched to +20's back to back with no noticeable differance on the A/F gauge. No way are they +40's. http://users.erols.com/srweiss/tableifc.htm Here's they specs.

What you need to know is in the Knowledge Center.

I just swapped from FFV's to +20s in the aries a bit back and noticed no difference.

I just put the FFVs in my spirit. They're a great find at a junkyard. I've seen probly half a dozen at least in the yards over the years.

I just had a set flowed and balanced by RC Engineering and they were only 34.4 pph @ 55 PSI.

The confusion on FFV injectors are they are listed on many sites at 3 bar (43.5 PSI) instead of 3.5 bar (55 PSI) like most all the other 2.2/2.5 injectors. This is what Stan Weiss's web site http://users.erols.com/srweiss/index.html rates the injectors at.
Mopar +20's 441cc or 42 lbs/hr. @ 55 PSI or 392.6cc@ 43.5 PSI
FFV green top injector 446cc or 42.4 lbs/hr. @ 55 PSI or 396.6cc @ 43.5 PSI
I'm not sure why Ben's (TopDollar69) came in where they did. I'm about ready to send 8 green top FFV to be cleaned matched and flow tested myself. I'll report back what I find. I think the important point is get yours cleaned and tested so you know what you have. After all, they are close to 20 years old!

BTW guys, save the web site. It's fabulous!

Send 1 TII injector too, so you have a baseline for a TII injector.

I had 6 93 Imperial 3.8L injectors done at the same time and they came in a 25 pph @55 psi just in case anyone cares.

The part numbers on my ffv green top injectors are Mopar 5277896, Bosch 0280150834. I figure it's possible that there was more than one injector used on the ffv Spirits.

No way are they +40's.

+1. Ive replaced my factory injectors with ffv's running the stock cal and fuel pressure. I still have o2 switching(stoich) at idle and cruise and passed emissions testing. Theres no way that would happen if they were plus 40s in the same set up. The ffv's are big enough though to run an intercooled mitsu to 18-20 psi of boost a 1/4 mile at a time. Though the egts get really high in the top end of the track, any more then a 1/4 mile spurt i think would require less boost or more fuel on this setup.

I also didnt notice a difference in idle cruise quality swapping from factory to ffv which made me think they arent as big as people say they are but i also dont think i could run that much boost if they werent.

We should change that article to state the flow at 55 psi, as it is you have to calculate it. I'm sure it confuses more people than it helps the way it is right now. FYI I get 33.58 pph @ 55 PSI according to the numbers that are in the knowledge center database.

the biggest problem with the flex fuels is the fuel people run in them. running e85 is awesome, unless the fuel inj you are running have a regular steel screen to filter fuel as it enters the inj. when these cars break down, and sit, the e85 will cause rust to develope in the inj, and i think thats what might have givin you the low flow #'s.

No, I'm pretty sure they are just 33-34 pph injectors. Mine were cleaned and balanced, I doubt they were dirty.

well, im just sayin, mine were WAY rich on the stock cal, even at 18 psi with map clamp (so computer didnt know it was 18, thought it was 14.7 psi) and fuel pressure was under 50 psi (more like 46 if i remember correctly). i think there over +20's for sure (even if its only by a half pound ;) )

I'm at 11.5-12.0:1 at 18psi with the overboost turned off and stock fueling on my 2 bar T2 cal with FFV's on my 2.2. They run around 10:1 when the engine is below 60 degrees and first started.

^if you have the overboost shut off, is that a custom cal? is it setup to run +20's? what was the fuel pressure?

The fueling is stock 89 T2. I just turned the overboost off and bumped the timing a bit in vacuum.
