If you had to choose which would you go with? 3" Exhaust

Magnaflow Ultraflo

Dynomax Race Bullet

Exhaust goes on tomorrow.

I had a Magnaflow on my Omni and loved it. We use a 4" magnaflow on the Talon and love it as well!

I currently have a race bullet on the charger and don't like it as much. It's not bad, but the magnaflow gave the car a more distinct exhaust note, not just a blah loudness that I hear from my car now.

Worth it... fully stainless steel - casing, pipes, and packing!

They sound awesome. I have a longer one in mine because I have a daytona. This should work for you.

I was meaning the exhuast shop. I would have to ship just about anything else except cheapies or flowmaster. Oh well, the dynomax will "make it do what it do" if you catch my drift. It is already in the shop since it was just an open downpipe!

I see too many ricers running Magnaflows. Not that they are bad mufflers by any means, I've always been fond of Dynomax, although I would put a Ultra-flow oval on there, be a bit quieter.

i was gonna buy a hooker but they didn't have the one i wanted. A lot of people seemed to prefer the magnaflow and it was $10 less so i went with that.

i am very pleased with it. its not much louder than stock (+) and quicker. either is much better than stock anyway.

I've tried a lot of different combo's and none sounded as good as the combonation of the bullet muffler AND the Magnaflow.

Of course the bullet replaced the cat. in the car so that made a huge difference.

Seems to me that the MagnaFlow is the cheaper version of the UltraFlow. They both come in many sizes.

Guess I have not heard the Race Bullet or a Magnaflow on a TM. I have a 2.5" Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler on my Daytona and I love the sound - very nice low throaty tone, sounds more like a V8 than a 4 cylinder - in both acceleration and coasting. I enjoy it so much, that I often turn the radio off just to listen to the exhaust.

I went with a 3" Dynomax on the full 3" set-up. It sounds great, but you can't carry on a conversation in the car and drive...good thing it is just a toy car to mess around with on the weekends! Just thought I would let you know how it was.

Except Shelbyplaya, he run's the ricer version.

I have what Frank suggested on my van, full 3 inch mandrel bent, Walker super cat up front, Muffler out back with the tailpipe facing the same as the stocker, nice and quiet inside when cruising and barks when on it. I would say it was 1000% louder when I had the muffler up front and a side pipe on.

here, this is a video clip of one of my 89 daytona shelbys doing a burn out (cant really tell, it's dark) but you can hear the exhaust pretty good.

the basic set up is a 2.5 T1 bottum end, ported FB head, ported eshaust, S60 turbo w/ .63 turbine, 2.5" SV, and 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust w/ magnaflow glasspack (no cat).

I would run the race bullet, as I am just looking for some thing to stick out the back to show the heat there is a muffler on the car.

I might switch up and put the Bullet in the cat location then a dynomax at the back. It is too loud for in town.

Far from it. The quality is incredible.

What I was getting at is the price difference with the MagnaFlow being much cheaper, and they both come in very similar configurations.

I've gotten new MagnaFlows as little as $45, but haven't found the Ultraflow that cheap.

I know it's a great muffler (which is why I buy it), and by cheaper I meant price not quality. ;)

the only thing i dont like about the magnaflow, or at least the one i have. it seems to dround out the turbo a fair bit.

True, but its always been 3 inch. Granted, when I had the sidepipe, you couldn't hear anything but exhaust. Now with the tailpipe at the back, all I can hear is turbo, :amen:

I noticed the same thing on a catless 2.5" setup. The turbo was loud before, but after it was completely silent. Couldn't hear it at all. But the exhaust note was VERY nice. A deep purr :thumb:
