So I ordered an adjustable short throw shifter for an SRT4, but with the stock shifter base, I couldn't make it much shorter than stock. So I cut up the shifter base, and raised the top about an inch. I left the crossover bracket the stock length because it felt fine side to side and I didn't want to get my gears mixed up. The crossover cable was at a bad angle, so i moved the cable mount up about an inch also. It feels REALLY good, it takes a bit more effort to shift, but its only about an inch from N to in gear, and it goes into gear really solid. Since I have a bench seat still, the shifter is a couple inches farther forward than normal, so this really helps.
