87 Daytona Shelby Z and a 89 Caravan Turbo. Both automatics with head problems...both problems to be fixed. I have 2 manual transmission and located a head for the daytona from a member on here in deleware. I am hoping to get the daytona up for it, but hopefully one together for it.

I asked for that sat/sun off so I should be there.... with my Omni! Should have it on the road soon. It runs and drives fine, I just need to get the title all cleared up with the state first.

On a unrelated note, Any one want to help me pick up a 89 horizon parts car? It's about 10 minutes from tri-state dragway. If someone can help PM me, otherwise I will have to rent a tow dolly. Could be some free parts or cash in the deal!

Ok guys, I'm planning on bringing my SL down and I would like to run it as it has never been down a track before. But... I have never been so I've got a few questions.

what does it cost?
are there any special rules or regulations I should be aware of?

also.
I just bought some 40's and a 3 bar map sensor. I was wondering if anyone is going to be bringing a chip burner and how much it would cost for you to help me tune my car. Otherwise I'm pretty excited to go, this summers SDAC was my first and I had a blast so I'm looking forward to seeing more TD's.

I have to be setting up at a wedding reception at 6:30pm. I then have to DJ from 7:30pm till 11 or 11:30pm. Then I need to tear down the DJ stuff, load up, and haul butt to Ken's house for the after party.

I don't have a way to haul the OMNI and the DJ gear. Especially if there is any chance of percepitation.

I'll be at the track from the event and then at Ken's late for the after party.

Any other year I would be half tempted to leave it to the older guys, but my grandmother broke her ankle recently so she will be out of commission. They will probably want to be finished ASAP, and I can't blame them as it isn't getting any warmer out and none of our stuff has a cab.

I *think* it is $15 to race and $5 for spectators. Can't find it on their website, but I know it's no more than $20 to race and $10 for spectators.

Tech is non-existant. No joke. You pull up to a fat dude sitting on the back of his truck, give him your card, and he writes the number on the car. You don't even have to pop the hood. A lot of people go down the track without even a helmet.

Track prep is similar to Edgewater. I'll be honest, it's not that great, but it's not the worst either.

*As a rule* usually 60fts are better at TriState vs E Water at T & T.

It's more of a Mom & Pop track - grass strip down the middle, old wooden bleachers, shutdown is like a bumpy driveway.... :thumb:

Yes to the $15 / $5 fees.

Fat Boy has mentioned cracked windshields and missing lugs / studs before.

And for an NHRA track they are loose on the helmet / leathers for bikes rules.... :confused2:

I'll be there with my krautmobile fresh from off the boat for some baseline runs :)

The plan was to bring the neon BUT since I'm picking up my new ride on Friday in Spartanburg, SC I won't be back until noon on Saturday. That doesn't give me enough time to get the other axle swapped on the neon AND to get it out on the road to check the tune. My 135i will have just made it though the "break in" period so I'll be ready to see what it can do :eyebrows:

Last few weekends have been spent working on my brother's 1st gen neon turbo build so my procrastination got the best of me. Look forward to seeing everyone there! I'll bring the camera for some photo coverage :)

Looks like I will be west bound and down Thursday night after work :) Gotta get down there so I can get up early Friday morning for:

The CSX-T needs a starter (crapped out right after being brought home from paint), probably a high pressure P.S. line (but could be a bad pump or rack), some interior assembly/clean up, and if I have time some new decals and trim replaced.

After getting the starter and P.S. fixed we will have to switch gears to giving the OVC Rolling Disco (Shelby Lancer) some love...as it's in the process of a forged motor swap w/s60 and a few other upgrades to help it Zoom as good as it Booms.

All that has to get done in time so I can kick back and have a few with Ken and some other good friends showing up Friday...but I will likely be having a "few" all day long.

Watch out! BadAndy's gonna be back in town:D

It includes:

Hooking up my feed and return lines backwards on my fuel pressure regulator...nice 150lb spike on the gauge.

Countless sensors left unplugged and vacuum lines left disconnected.

What about using some of your ratchet straps to do the job? I've used them before. Plus you can adjust them on the *fly*

Just don't use my ratchet straps that may still be holding Blackie to the trailer?

I was going to bring the wagon but with a 2 week old at home being gone foe a few hours is better than none at all. I also think I need to tighten the timing belt on the wagon as it is rubbing against the cover. Plus I have MANY more things to do to it too. I can drool over yours while I'm there.:D

It should be a good day of events. A local performance shop is having a cruise of muscle cars going to Tri-State Tomorrow. Maybe some new Camaros will be tearing up the track. I'm going to be pretty depressed I'll miss out during this part of the festivities. Have fun and post some videos. I'll see you guys at Kens!

I had a great time until the intermediate shaft went out 3 hours from home. First time I've ever had one only last 1000 miles, even though it was a junkyard one. My brother picked up my van and tow dolly and and came after me so I got back ok just a few hours later than expected :o. So maybe I'll reserve judgement on the 2.2 since the intermediate shaft getting bad may have killed the power at the track. Although it didn't stop James Reeves from running an 11.4 in it on his second pass ever in my car :clap: Best I could do was 11.6, but then I always knew I needed the driver mod.

Had a great time as usual! Thanks to the Adlers for the hospitality, as usual! Its amazing how Ken and Patti are always willing to let us rowdy turbo mopar guys takeover their super nice house 2x a year!! and it always makes for a GREAT event!

I ran my Dad's 09 Challenger SRT8 at the track. Managed a best of 13.6@105, which I found out isn't the best for an SRT8 as it should be running in the low 13s or high 12s for a factory freak. I blame it on my unfamiliarity with the car, the fact the car only had 900 miles on it, and the slick track. I broke the tires loose on the last pass shifting to 3rd!

Thanks to Ken and Barbie, I mean Jon and Tara for the SWEET shirts! :) Thanks to Tim for bringing the homebrew........ next time I would like to request Turbo Red only please ;)

and thanks to everyone else who showed up for making it the great experience it always is!

Sorry you had problems on your way home Larry....I still have a TON of respect for someone driving their car that far, running the p*ss out of it, even letting someone else beat on it, then drive it home!

Here are some I have from the antics of the evening. There are a few good ones in here. There is one of Reeves praying, quite nice. Then there's the one where Hemi Shelby is telling Kevin, STFU. However, Kevin doesn't seem to get it so Dave has to jump in. :)

Dangerous minds and even more dangerous minds, midnight mowing, T-M tech assisting with the mower, which more or less guarantees that the mower will break down, and so on. :)

I particularly like Warren drunk-dialing me at 2:10am but not actually talking. The message on my voice mail (Yes, I was smart enough not to answer!) was 5 minutes of listening to Warren and other just talking to each other about nothing in particular but laughing anyway. It was sort of like being there hours later but not having a hangover and not getting jokes.

Thanks to Brad and Nate for pulling the car swap for me! (Even if you did try and punk me. Good thing I'm smarter than I look!) Also big thanks to Warren for the loaner Intrepid and mucho help yet again from Reeves for bailing me out for trying to drive my "race" car without the trailer, allowing me to tow it back to his place, him having to street drive the Omni 90 miles, and then him still having to fix my car for me after I had to leave so he could get it out of his garage. Also a big thanks to Tim Doyle and others for helping try to get the broken axle piece out at the track. The OVC Crew is second to none in friendship and hospitality!
