1 it works fine
2 way to much boost deto
3 way to much boost deto

he told me he checked the wireing ect and found nothing, he said the only thing he could think of was the wastegate he didnt adjust it just put it on

could that be the problem or have other people had the same issues

Is he using the wastegate actuator included with the kit, or another one?

Is he having issues with the dial-a-boost switch?

Wastegate needs to be set after installation.
My stage 2 worked flawless, until I put an aftermarket wastegate on.
Now I get 15 lbs on DAB 0, 22ish on DAB 1 and of course it pegs
on Dab 2, never tried 3.

doesn't the waste gate require 4mm of pre-load?

ya, thats what I ment by set. I couldn't remember the number, 4mm
sounds right.
Who knows what it is like from the factory.

I would say, just for testing purposes, Unplug the toys and see if it boosts normally.

I had a friend here that had the wastegate, it is impossible (unless you get technical) to preset it. Its trial an error from what I hear they don't come set.

When you buy a s3 kit new, the wastegate comes preset, bolted to the turbo. The s2 kit needs the 4mm of preload set. To the op, I'd loosen the preload on the wastegate.

Good point bill, good info. I was under the impression that they were all needing mild adjustment.

I would assume they all need fine tuning?
