anyone out there have some good pics of an unmolested T1 engine bay in an L Body?

I want to keep my GLH stock and with all the T1 cars being converted over to T2 intercooled cars there seems to be no emphasis on keeping a T1 car stock.

Not the best, but some pics of the engine for my Rampage before I pulled it from an 86 Shelby Charger are here.

PM me with your email address. I have a bunch of pics I can send of a 7k mile 87 Shelby Charger engine bay. Also have a few of a low mileage, unmolested GLH.

glad to read someone out there is keeping a GLH to the correct pedigree.

That 7k mile 87 Charger should be a perfect template for you (its the black one from ebay right Dave?).

Todd your '86 engine bay looks brand new, is that underhood paint original? are there more pix posted somewhere of this car?

Marcus, Todd no longer owns that car. He sold it a few years ago I think, with 16k miles on it I would assume the paint was original. I wish my red 86 GLHT looked that awesome, maybe someday it will even run right.

NICE !!

Any chance of getting some pics from different angles like behind the valve cover area - if not too inconvenient. THANKS

Sure looks darn close. The only difference between the pics I could spot is the brand of the battery. Same oil fill cap and everything.

That wasn't his... he got more than $2k for his when he sold it... don't know the amount though, and it wasn't through a car dealer.

Actually guys that's the car. I sold it to Allan Quack along with GLHS 276. Quack sold it to a guy who was in his early 40's CO. First thing he did was dismount the original tires which were virtually perfect yet, and installed new rubber. He used it as a daily driver for a couple years (drove it year around and not garaged) and started buying parts to modify it.:( Car was put up for sale after a couple years and advertised for sale for around $5K. BTW he paid considerably more than that from Allan. Both Allan and myself tried to buy the car back from the guy but he wouldn't return any of our phone calls. The guy must have traded it in to a dealership or sold it to someone else who traded it it. I find it very hard to believe that ANY dealership would sell a car with 2?K miles on it for 2G. I don't buy it. Does that sound like any dealership you know?
That car has a very interesting history and how it accumulated so few miles. To long to tell on this forum. Maybe at a SDAC convention some night over some barley pops.

thanks for clearing this up Todd.

funny thing, after seeing this car a few years ago on this website (not knowing it used to be owned by Todd) and on cardomain, i nominated it (then owned my Matt) for COTM. He has been on the ballot for a long time but never gets many votes. I think this car deserves a COTM kudo since it appears to be one of the nicest unmolested GLH-T's out there.

Wow Todd, I didn't realize your old red GLHT went through that many owners after you sold it.

Yeah that's what happens when you have a dust collector sitting in the garage, you get tired of it and sell it. I swear I'm gonna get my 86 GLHT out of storage this next week, even if that means putting another one back in storage in it's place.
