I would love to go, I don't think Nicky will win or come close this year but he'll be fun to watch.

I'll go one year, maybe in a few.

I plan on taking my son to Utah next year for the AMA/SBK races, he'll be 3 1/2 so he'll love it, he's 2 1/2 now and loves watching da da,

Saw a Moto GP van with bikes on board at the local Shell where about 50 guys on bikes like to hang out when it's nice, we call them "Shell's Angels", lol.
Really cool bikes and I got a little Moto GP sticker!

As in a Aprilla RS250!?!?!?

TWO STROKES RULE!!!

I raced with WERA for 15 seasons, I have a Kenny Roberts RZ that I bought new in '84, now a dragbike - 11.45 @ 112MPH.

Along with the RZ I raced an FZR400, GPZ550, RD400, and my current Hawk GT.

Ohlins, Marvic and The titanium on the Corsa has magnesium, and the magnesium has Carbon Fiber!!

Last years race at Indy was bizzare! didn't they red flag it after 10 laps or something? the track just turned into a lake!

I too love my 2 stokes, and the RS250 has to take number one spot, out of the modren two strokes at least..

I have 2 RD350 LCs and a Maico 500 MXer.

RZ500, NS500 and RG500 are all on the wish list, KR750 could go on there too, but ill keep it to actually obtainable machines

We will be staying at Motel 6 Speedway, just inside I-465 @ Hullman Blvd.

If you'r going to the race: FREE infield parking for cars and bikes, enter Gate 10 off 30th street on the North end of the speedway. And be sure to have a cooler full of beers in the trunk...

Also, infield is the place to be at the Indy Mile dirt track race, up on the fence!!

More details to come.... ;)

Tucked in Behind the bubble, over the *carbon fiber gas tank* and the $300 *carbon fiber * gas cap - it had a cutout in the front of the tank for air to the *carbon fiber* velocity stacks - the sound was pure MISIC!!

The bike is trick!!

I'll take the Aprilla, RG250, TZR250, etc... :hail:

My collector friend with the Ducati Corsa also has a hot rod RG500 Gamma I get to work on from time to time... Another friend has a RZ500 Yammie, and I get to "test ride" them, of course.... Being the two stroke guy, LOL!! :amen:

Here's the answer to all my needs:

http://www.twostrokeshop.com/Aprilia_RS500_2008.htm

Arpillia 250 with a 500cc Yammie Banshee motor: 112HP + 60FtLbs of torque

TSS is also building an 1100cc Kaw triple with 250HP in a ZX10 frame.

OK - should'a seen this thread sooner - but - I'm out of town and not too well connected . . . .

I, and two old SoCal roadracer/canyon racer friends are staying at the Microtel Hotel at 9140 Michigan Road - near 465/52/421 or you could say it is near intersection of Michigan Rd and West 86th, or you could say that it is north of the Speedway and West of the Fairgrounds.

So, where is the Motel 6 and Hullman relative to that? I don't see Hullman on the map I have.

As for T Bohn's question - presently I have an '08 CBR1000rr and an '86 GSXR1100 that are both ready to ride. In process, and rideable by the end of the summer, is my old '73 Norton 750 (Combat cam/32s) Commando with an honest to G*d Axtell head - amongst 70's bikes, it's fast. Also have a hot rod big bore Yamaha SR500 with Gordon Jennings spec head and White bros spec megaphone - the thing rips; tears the deck off the crankcase in about 4 hours. That's why it's parked.

In the past, a'71 Norton, a round case/first year/'73 Ducati 750 Sport, several '73/'74 RD350s, '66 short rod high compression narrow case 350 Ducati with big valve Diana head (that thing would run with RDs - fast bike), a '67 350 Desmo, a '68 450 Desmo, and a '67 250 big headllight/rearsets '250 Diana. Sold all of that stuff off as I went through law school. . . . oh well.

I was there on a Schwantz School package that included a VIP hospitality suite with hosted bar and non-stop catered food, all in front of multiple big screens, with comfy chairs.

I spent time in there sipping free RedBull & Grey Goose. Watched the main from inside of Turn 2 outside of Turn 3, aka "Ducati Island." Saw Rossi fall. He did not just wash the front wheel. It appeared like he was a bit hot entering 3 and was on the front brake as he flipped the bike from turning left to turning right and THAT got the rear wheel in the air, and then the front slid.

Last pic is for Butch - Do it to your bike!

Rossi looks like he either hit the brakes too hard or his brakes were too grabby, :(

Officail excuse that I read was "he got out in the marbles" at a transistion:( Maybe, but the slo-mo looks like he did a "brake check".
Either way this may have been Rossi's first "senior moment".
"Banzai" Pedrossa was bound to bite it. We witnessed 3 earlier falls at that exact spot.:banghead: Last year that spot(back onto the old speedway) was critisized for having an abrupt pavement change. some refered to as "curbing":bounce:

Yeah, I'll use some more bandwidth - since you asked. Notice how the countershaft sprocket is cantilevered out from its original position to allow the running of that super fat rear tire. It is, after all, a Dunlop demo bike that was parked in front of the Dunlop tent.
