Up for sale is an incredibly nice '85 Omni GLH turbo body with the engine and trans gone. (Guy had removed it all to swap in a srt-4 Neon engine/tranny and it never happened). This is a 90k mile body with hardly any rust (none underneath has one small spot in an a pillar) It is Sante Fe blue with grey interior. Was repainted at some point but the paint is still shiny and looks great. Has the original pepperoni wheels on it still. Most all wiring is still there and it had a new fuel pump at the time before it was taken apart. It was an original AC/rear wiper/rear defrost car. Seats are still in great shape. Car was garaged before I bought it a yr ago ('08 pics). I am located in southeast VA. You'll obviously have to come tow the car if you want it. Looking to get $1k for it. I may be negotiable but do not have to really sell it. Have clear title to the car. SERIOUS inquiries only please. Will have fresh pics up later this week after I get back from a trip.

Yes. The one in my signature. It will be restored at some point. It's nowhere near as rotted as it may look. It's actually very clean underneath.

Can you send me some better pics? I would like to see some of the under carriage and the engine compartment. I'm assuming the door and trunk edges are rust free? Any dings and dents worth mentioning? On a scale from 1 to 10 how would you rate the re-paint, 10 being the best? Sorry for all the questions but I'm a picky person and it's a long drive.
Thanks,
Mike

More pics will be coming soon.
I do have someone local interested in it. Waiting on him to come see it. (Later next week)
My scale on the repaint would be a 9.
Oh and by the way. You won't find a nicer GLH left.
Seriously. This thing is ridiculously nice.

i am very interested ust wouldnt be able to do anything for about a month and half. If you still have it in a month you will be most likely hearing form me. Plus does this car still have the engine harness in it or did that go with the motor

Abkshelby

Still has all of the engine harness in the car. Only missing some vacuum stuff which can be redone fairly easily. First person here with cash will get the car.

Pics of the interior.. underneath.. inside engine bay would be really nice... Also.. is that santa fe blue.. or a little off? looks darker?

Abkshelby
08-26-2009, 05:52 PM
Paint is very close to Sante Fe I'd say it may be a little lighter actually. Original color is under the hood still. Here are a few more pics. Only took one from under the passenger side of it cuz that's all I can get to right now.

None of those areas have any rust. This is by no means your typical rust GLH as I have said before.

Would jim let you use the tow dolly to drop it back off? I started the shipyard, pops had a heart attack, uncle died, etc etc So its been quite crazy in my neck of the woods. Sorry on the lack of the return call. I told eric about the car but i think he wants less of a project. Let me know what you would want for it delivered to Va beach. I still would need a motor and clutch. I cant let the blue demon go to the junkyard. Its too nice.....

Or just call me. Ive been working 6-12's so freetime has been next to nothing. Norfolk naval shipyard likes to break apprentices in the right way apparently.

Lowest I'll take if I deliver it is $800.
If I don't get what I want for it I'll just junk it. Don't care anymore.

Don't kill it Alan. If I didn't have two L-bodies already I'd take it, I've always wanted a blue GLH turbo.

Well I'm about fed up with trying to sell this thing.
I would have thought one this nice would have been no problem to sell.
That's not the case here. :(

You posted on 8-17 to sell the car, its been what a few weeks. It'll sell, patience.

I'm taking the car off the market for now. I've had not a single person offer what I wanted for it so I just won't sell it at all. I have the parts to put it back together just do not know when it will be. As long as the city stays off my case it can sit here for awhile.

No. The 360 makes up for the added weight quite well. The Omni is off the market. I'll just keep it and fix it in time.

Wow, so quick to say that the deal fell through. Couldn't have talked to me? Just decided that you didn't want to sell it to me. Can I honestly ask you something? Does it have anything to do with someone else having a turbo z that they just received back after all this time that he had no idea you'd be interested in? I'm just really confused as to why you're taking it out on me? I told you in advance what may or may not go on and you said its fine. Now without consulting me you just up and say deal is off. If you don't feel like selling it to me fine.. that's you. Good luck and thanks for the notice. I guess I don't need the "bs" either apparently.

Thanks again Carroll and I'm looking forward to seeing it back on the road and hopefully at SDAC next year! And yes we like AAA all the way LOL! Keep me updated on your progress and let me know if you need any parts. I can probably build a few more with stuff I have laying here.
