So I put a Holset on my van with a custom 3" downpipe and it is about an inch or two away from the side of the power steering pump cause it comes straight out of the exhaust side of the turbo and then curves down. What should I do to stop it from melting a rubber line off the pump, or will it be a problem. The part of the pipe closest to the pump is about 6 or 8 inches from the turbo outlet.

thanks

Make a heat shield for the pump and wrap the section of the elbow.

Which holeset is it? I know for the hx35 there is a "Cobra head" right angle for tight fits that attaches with a v band clamp. Bellows outward in the turn to help with the restriction of such a tight bend.

Pics of your setup?

If you have a 3 inch DP, this is a wicked deal and will help with clearance-

WOW! that's nice looking. :D and cheap too. I don't have any pics of the setup with the pipe on, basically i used a 90* bend that is too wide, my bad...

Which style power steering are you running? The newer style (plastic reservoir) pump will give you 2-3 more inches of clearance if your using the older (metal reservoir) style pump.

ATP sells the same thing, probably better quality, too.

Sure, I want to crawl under my car to replace a DP 3 times because I was too cheap to buy a decent one, lol.

You can build one yourself thats the ATP quality but at the price of the obx one.
