When I got under the new car today to swap in some new control arm bushings, I found out that there is no front sway bar on the car (No, I haven't driven it). Nor were there any bushings. I have one off of an '87 Shelby, but without the bushings I couldn't really tell if it will fit, does anyone know?

before you even try adding a sway bar, i'd make sure the inner swaybar bracket threads aren't stripped.

Thats the only reason why I would think somebody never put the swaybar back on.

But the inner bushings are the same in all years. The outers for a 90 should be square. 91 up are circles.

Right right. I believe the reason there is no sway bar on it is because I bought this car as a bare shell- I actually had to buy struts/shocks/springs/brakes off of him just to make the car a roller (not that I'm complaining, I got a killer deal on parts off of an Iroc R/T). All of the clamps and bolts are in there, but no bar/bushings.

the sway bar shapes are the same from 84-90. So yes your 87 bar will fit. But you need to use the bushings for a 89-90 kmember on the inside.
