hey all, I need a 2.5 or 2.2 (preferably forged if 2.2) commonblock crankshaft. Also interested in some 2.5 pistons for .020 overbore. Im in the southbend, IN area but I can also drive out to the chicago area if anybody out there has anything :thumb:

thanks

I have a tall deck crank. It's basically a CB crank, but the snout is setup to fit the earlier square tooth sprocket.

Oh, and if you are building a long rod motor, I also have the set of long rods that came out of the tall-deck 2.5...

anyone know what kind of power those rods can handle?

They're basically just long LW rods. But, I've heard you can swap the caps on a LW rod and it's better(?). Maybe that's possible with these as well. They'd obviously need to be resized after the cap swap...

no long rod engines for me, although that would be pretty sweet if the rods were stronger :)

Im doing a hybrid engine with my dad for his sandrail. We have a 2.2 forged crank that we thought was for a commonblock but we just found out it isn't after we put most of the engine together :(

So now I think we are just going to do a 2.5l so we don't have to worry about piston to valve clearance.

I picked up a 2.5 turbo engine for cheap at the junkyard today though so I think im set but now I need a 2.2l commonblock oil pan lol. Thanks for the offers though :thumb:
