well i wanna get to the bottom of this. ive always wondered how many of each color there were in 86.
3,129 total (thats a pretty low number to start with)
882 carburated
2,247 GLH Turbos
824 were Santa Fe Blue (this is both carb and turbo)

thats 2305 not accounted for in both carb and turbo.
iirc the colors were red, black, silver, blue and i wanna say gold but not sure if that was 85 or 86
that means your car can be one of 576 glh/glht's ever made dividing 2305 into 4 not counting the blue because that was 824 total. thats if gold was an option too.

so to get things started mine was originally red with red interior turbo. now black with grey interior. please if i am forgetting a color tell me. add it in. thanks.

If I'm not mistaken you can take 500 out of those 86' GLHT numbers as being black cars shipped to Shelby to make the 86' S cars.

It has always been my understanding that the GLHT numbers included the 500 cars which were then shipped to Shelby.

should be true
because there was 2,011 87 shelby chargers, and 1000 of those were GLHS'

If I remember right gold is the rarest color, but I'm not sure. Anyway mine is a red GLHT, and I'm with you guys I would like to know the breakdown too.

its been my understaning mopar didnt track the glht #'s by color combo so that data might not ever be compiled.

but based on pure observation over 20 years following this car, you probably can presume a few things like the black over red combo had to be the most produced with the gold over tan version being the least produced. blue over blue and red over red would fall near the top i would think.

I don't have any better data than what's already been reported.
Hopefully someone was able to track a better breakdown of numbers.
