My Challenger is in the 7's (Non Turbo Content)

Was at Great Bend KS Saturday to help fill in thier Pro Mod show (mine is a Quick 16 car so no way was I going to do much!).

Time slip got messed up but datalogger and video shows a solid mid 7 at about 178mph.:amen: We'll back it up here in Denver in a few weeks with a legit timeslip. So it's "Un Official" for now.;)

Lot of drama this weekend as Friday night testing it decided to eat a valve. Located a spare in town from another Fontana HEMI (very rare combo...). Had to cut the valve out of the head but the replacement dropped right in. Thrashed all day Saturday and missed all qualifying runs (they let me run as an alternate due to low car count). Had a great seat watching a 6 second Pro Mod pull you really bad! Pro Tree (.400) and cut a .169 to his .166 so had a little satisfaction. I was so distracted watching him I went from 1st to 3rd somehow and still got an 8.2 at 137.

Last run was really sweet! The blower whine and hitting all shifts perfectly was a real turn on.

It was running more hurt than we realized. Rings were shot, one was broken we think on the run from the night before. We know what caused it (pump was too small). Have more vids but had to use the company computer (I got to get a new home computer but all my money goes you know where ;))

Well now it's officially in the 7's (3 time slips to prove it now..) Went back out to Great bend KS 10-17-09 for some fuel system shake down and it was so cold could only get the 3 passes.
