Thats a twin to my first TD. I think the 88 ES is a pretty rare car. Ive seen maybe 3 or 4 over the years on the boards. I wonder if anyone has any production numbers? Im defenatly going to keep watching this thread :)

I still have mine BTW. Ive been gathering parts to put it back together, but told my self I wasnt going to start on it untill I had bought a house... I moved into MY new house this weekend. Im hoping to have it at the strip by next year.

A buddy had a white 88 ES in disrepair that sat at his farm for years next to a VNT Daytona that was in pretty much in the same condition. Unfortunately they both went to the yard in the sky a couple years back (it would have made the perfect parts car for my CSX-T). :(

Good luck with your project!

yea the grass is really starting to get long in my driveway.

I had to change a bearing inside the new A523. ran into some problems getting the bearing plate on far enough on so your able to install some c clip onto one of the bearings.

ill post a photo later to better show why i cant put it back together.

I guess I'm not seeing what's stopping it from going on all the way . . . ?

well i can tap the plate down all the way but the bearing needs to be "pulled" up it seems.
