Would you be willing to detail what you did to them? I need to do something with the lights on my Shadow before school starts this year.

That turned out great! You can still buy headlights brand new from Mopar btw.

I wet sanded it from 220 to 2000 grit paper. Used a dremel and some polish compound.

and when the supply from mopar runs dry you've got the aftermarket ones also. I have a spare p-side mopar one on the shelf though. $20 ebay find :thumb:

Yup, thats the process. Make sure you put a few coats of wax on them before driving also. That fresh plastic will turn yellow and cloudy very quickly.
Looks great. Reminds me I need to get out the spare set and polish them up again. There due for a switchover again.

I'll have to try something similar on my Acclaim.

I did all the lights recently on the R/T and actually aimed the beams according to some simple calcs. I simply used my buffer with a foam pad and bought the big bottle of PlastX or whatever it's called from Meguiars for about $5. Works wonders. nice job on yours. Mine came out very similar

3M makes a single use kit for headlight polishing. professional kits cost about 250 bucks but can be used countless times.

the pro kit comes with a DA sander, and a polisher gun, 500, 800, 1000, 3000 grit sanding pads, 3M plastic cleaner paste, 3M plastic polishing paste and misc buffing/polishing pads.

only use 500 grit on the really oxidized lenses, otherwise start with the 800. the directions state to dry sand with the 500 and 800 and then wet sand thereafter. i found that drysanding causes the pads to clog up. i recommend wetsanding throughout the whole process of sanding. this will help keep the pads from clogging up and help them last longer.
