97 Intrepid

car has 3.5 24 valve V/6--engine is throwing code 45 [#5 injector circuit] and at same time trans got sluggish on shifting to 2nd--will shift if reved up in first, let off and ease back into gas, will slip if given full throttle when trying to shift to 2nd--car has 129,000 miles and maintance records not known--any ideas appreciated--bobr19

check to make sure the trans fluid is full and not over full i have heard that it has gear lube for the diff and they leak into the trans part of the trans , check the see if diff is low. AL

Yeah--did check fluid level and it was full not over--color was nice and red with no burnt smell---these 2 problems happened at almost if not the same time--might not be related though--bobr19
