I have an '05 PSD 6.0 that I SERIOUSLY need some help with.
I have scoured the diesel forums and posted where i could to no avail.

short story: ran ok, slight miss at highway cruise, blamed EGR
Did EGR delete, RR fuel system, CFM+ intake over the weekend.
All back togeather, first cruise it dies 3 times, blamed air in lines.

got it home, it fires and idles. Onlt makes 20 psi of boost (used to make 29)
shows 75 psi of fuel. RPM's show good. in nuetral it will rev, ROUGHLY to 3000+ and make up to 20 psi. In Drive, power breaking it wont rev at all no boost no nothing. Scanned it last night, got low ICP code. ICP was replaced about 2500mi ago. tried plugging dirty egr back into harness, nothing.

It's not showing any CEL's not even an EGR code even though the EGR is disconnected. It starts, which last time it had HPO leak it would not. My guess is FICM but thats a 1200 dealer part or a 4 week wait while a shop across the country programs one and sends it to me and its still 4-500 on a gamble.....

Can anyone help me with this? Please please please............

Good luck man, we have a running list of about 8 people at work that have had big issues with these. They named the list "Powerjoke" and it stems from injectors to blow engines. Hope you figure it out.

ficm harness loves to leak voltage or plane just crack the wires do a wiggle test and spray it with a bottle of water .

Thanks guys. I am thinking I am going to buy the scan software for that dam thing so I can command the systems myself. I tried wiggle tests, plug/unplug tests and the BFH test already.
Talking around it sounds like when I ran the batteries down purging the air it may have fried the FICM which sucks! 1200$ dead batteries are a Bi@+CH.

It sucks that that thing has so many possible failures. That truck is the toughest thing I have ever driven it out pulls my 7.3. dam thing ran a 14.90 at speedworld last nov and will run a 16 PULLING a bobcat!

I talked to the diesel tech at the ford dealer I work at and he said it sounds like you need an ipr valve. It is a common problem with the 6.0

sounds like it isn't getting fuel, I know that doesn't help much but I would check fuel stuff. Does it have double fuel tanks?

it is getting fuel as far as I can tell, upper bowl fills and FPR shows 75 psi with no drops. (new Reg return sys)

Unless you have some way of monitoring icp their isnt really any way to test it. He said the best way to test it is to replace it for what ever that is worth.

well the scanner is cheaper than the FICM so, it should be delivered tommarow!

Let me know what your icp pressure is then when you get your scanner

Did you figure anything out with your truck yet?

I taked to a buddy of mine and told him what I remember of this thread and he said you should also run a little bit lower pressure that 75. He said somewhere around 65-70 psi. Not sure if that will fix the problem but wont hurt to try.
