I've still got to wrap up the fuel system on the srt, but I'll be there and making pulls.

event had a good turnout from NE-SDAC clubmembers and others. i think the theme for the day could be described as, "....i thought i'd make more power than that..." with most of the cars not quite meeting each owner's expectations despite putting down really good numbers.

here's some pix:

cliff, james, kelly and bill discussing kelly's 12 second iroc r/t

cliff's nearly bone stock glhs put down 140+:

in front is butch's 12 second ls1 sporting recent ls2 head swap and cam upgrade, he later laid down 401 hp, this car will see low 12's this year..in back is james' shadow vert and the pair of glhs cars, cliff's and mine:

james checks out kelly's iroc r/t on its way to 242 hp:

kelly and bill monitor this pull, kelly was predicting 275 hp with his new calibration but there was just too much fuel, kelly has some more work to do on this cal:

the r/t in the back sports an 8 valve engine swap i think it made around 250 hp..owner's name????:

jonny b. treated us all by bringing his 100% bone stock, un-restored, low mileage '89 csx, this car is perfect thru-out. no dyno time this day, this is a cream puff for show trophies only:

james gets lined up with his shadow on the way to a best of about 219 hp, he wasnt happy but his stock TII intercooler was hot enuf to fry bacon on after only two pulls:

on a side note Chris's 2003 SRT4 was the champ of the day at 266 hp. hope everyone gets these cars to the raceday coming up 6-10-06 at LVD, a good dyno number is one thing, a good ET is quite another.

I made some changes to the car during the day and after everybody else was all done for the day. Kelly, Chris and myself stayed while I ran the car again. I didn't make any more peak power, but I did get a good increase under the curve. I still have a boost issue to sort out (spike to 22 fall to 13) but I think that once I get a slightly lower peak and get it to hold to 16-17 I should be a good bit closer to 300hp. Heres a copy of the dyno with the first and last pulls of the day.

Great pictures guys. Glad it was a good day. I was at Englishtown getting burnt to a crisp in the sun. That red Spirt may be Jon G.'s never seen it, but I believe he was going to be there with his Spirit.

Gary, good eye. That is Jon's car.

I was only hoping for ~260 hp, the stock turbo is all done at this level and I am down to ~16 psi up top from a peak of ~21-22.

Mark has my emotions pretty much down. I was really disappointed. Considering the car went 14.0 @100 on a weak cylinder, I figured I'd make some good power now everything was fixed. Then again, my intercooler was really, really, really hot.

Last year, I put down 184whp and 235ft lbs of torque nonintercooled, 15lbs of boost and the weak cylinder.

Since 220whp sucks and is equal to a stock SRT4, I'm going FMIC this month. Can't have big brother showed up by little brother.

The shop has an online database (http://www.bristoldyno.com/vehicles/) of all the dyno runs he recorded since openning his doors a few years ago. He just added boost logging and updated to AEM air/fuel. To view the boost feature, you need to download winpep7 from dynojet.

I wonder how much it would cost to have a dyno setup like that.

Ah, I have no clue. But he just went to awd over the winter. But that has to alot with the fact he leases a bay from a local DSM tuner. Then he added the boost logging. Something I had suggested years ago.

I know the owner had to go back to work. He was just making it by operating the just the dyno. So now he has a full time job and runs the dyno in the evenings and saturdays. He said its working out since most of his business is on saturday. Plus the dsm shop can run the dyno durning the day if need be.
