Thanks! I could be wrong but I don't think they would be the same.

It does appear that 87-89 Sundance, Shadow, Aries, 600, Daytona, Reliant, GTS could be the same for the bumper shocks.

For the reinforcement i'm sure GTS would be the same but don't know about the rest.

I am looking for fairly rust free pieces. I'm about ready to start parting the 89 Sundance RS in the garage soon if I can't find them.;)

Here is a graphic showing the pieces I need. I need piece number 4 and the shocks are piece number 8 (two of these left and right)

If these pieces are available I'm interested.

I have a 86 GTS that has a rear bumper would that work? What is your zip code so I can get the parts off and check shipping cost IF they'll work for you?

Terry,

I did find a new bumper reinforcement but still need the bumper shocks. If you had those I'd be interested pending price. My zip is 17222.

Thanks

Hi Man,
Just remembered and wondered would the bumper shocks from the front bumper be the same? IF the part numbers are the same then they are the same parts, yes? The front bumper is already off and the access to the shocks is easy for me is all. What do you say to 20.00 each? Does that sound OK to you? Let me know or make a counter offer!! Do you need any other parts off a GTS of a 86 year? This Parts car is going to go to a JY near me to make some room as my brain damage and health are stopping me from fixing up my 85 GTS!!:mecry:

Terry,

I did check and the fronts are totally different. The part numbers are different as well. Looks like I'm going to need the rears.

I know its a bit of work if the bumper is still on the car and I completely understand if you don't want that much work for these two pieces. It's cool.

If you do want to take them off I'm ok with $20 each plus shipping to 17222.

Thanks
Huey

Hi Huey,
I will get around to check out how much of a PIA it;ll be to get the shocks off with taking off a min. of parts? I hope your not in a hurry? I move pretty slow and this was a surprise to me! Anything else you might need while I'm at it??? This 86 is pretty rust free nice body!! A shame there's no Title!! Have a good one,

Terry

How about those bumper shocks from a 93 Duster/Sundance, Shadow? Rears of course. I have them in crappy looking but never hit condition.

I wish. Not the same, different design and 5 mph not 2.5 mph.

It looks like just about any FWD 85-89 would work. Anything 1990 and newer appears to be different.

I never imagined I'd have this much trouble finding these. I found an original DEX-77 (thanks Billy) easier than these.

Thanks
