View Full Version : Fuel system w/o return > GTS

The 01 3.8L is a returnless fuel system. The 2.5L that was in my LeBaron has a return line. The 3.8 is going into it. How do I adapt this? I figure if I leave it be it'll leave pressure on the pump and cause premature failure.

just get a earler 3.3 /3.8 fuel rail

Use the scraeder valve for the return line.

The older 3.3/3.8 fuel rail will not fit.

Simon: are you sure I can do that?

simon, if I do that won't most of the pressure just be fed back to the tank? Since the fuel will take the "path of least resistance" and the injectors would just be dribbling fuel.

Your going to need a fuel rail with a regulator unless you want to swap the lines and pump over from the donor car.
