These are still not tested as my swap isnt finished, I also recommend the wire sets available from our vendors for a DIRECT swap as these require a FEMALE (reverse HEI) modified cap (which was also a budget built item out of an old V8 cap)

On with the show!
I have ordered a Dizzy adapter from R_Bryant, so I started to think about wires. I had an old set from my saturn laying around, knowing that the saturn has a coil pack on the trans the wires are fairly long, so I tossed them on the head with my Dist mocked up on the cam and the LENGTH was almost EXACTLY perfect, save for one small detail. the plug boots were TOO short! (aprox 1/4'')

SO I started to brain storm. What other vehicles have a long wire with the funky cap-boots. a DOHC HONDA.
Having several friends who have 1.6 and 1.8 DOHC Hondas, I decided to measure. Boots were close to correct length, wires were a bit longer, but there were a few minor problems. Nothing that couldn't be fixed the Turbo Mopar way! (CHEAP AND EASY!)

I went to Autozone and picked up pn9561 Duralast Wire Set for a 1.8l 98 Acura Integra (non-vtec, but I dont think it matters)

Here they are:

But, here is ONE problem:

As you can see, the boot has this weird flair to it. The Honda valve cover has larger holes for the plug wires then we do, so these will NOT fit in their current state.

I took a rasp, and holding the boot in my bench vice, I went around it removing some of the silicone. I removed aprox 1/8'' of material. Now it is a SNUG fit into the valve cover.

The boots were also about a 1/4'' too long, the wire clip inside is the correct length, but the boot is a bit too long. I cut 1/4'' off of it and i can feel it pressing over the spark plug when they are installed. Wither it is ACTUALLY snapping over the plug I cannot determine at this point, but I can see where the ceramic is flaring the boot when I remove them and it is just about where the wire is.

All in all the wires cost $30, if they dont work. I can just give them to a buddy of mine with a honda, they buy anything!

I like they way these sit in the valley on the cover, very clean looking!
