View Full Version : Shopping at Advanced Auto - Question.

In shopping for TB sensors at Advanced Auto, or Rockauto, or where ever, I noticed that there is a check digit? for the year/model of TB on the VIN. I'm looking at the TPS sensor for a 87 Daytona Shelby Z. There are two options to choose from: Vin A or Vin E.

What's the difference, if any?

That's the 8th digit in the VIN, and not the check digit.

The 8th position is engine type. A = 2.2 Turbo II. E = 2.2 TI.
