Buddy of mine is looking at a 95-99 Neon 2 dr., five speed, with carbon fiber hood and decklid. Most notably about the car it has a 2.4L Stratus motor swap that was done professionally locally. 2.0 cams, catback exhaust, 70k miles, runs, has steelies, needs a windshield and inspection. $1500 a fair price? He's looking at getting this as a starting platform and eventually build it further or swap a SRT4 motor in its place.

Let me know please! I told him the 95-99 Neons go for around that stock with that kind of mileage, so with these additions in terms of parts and motor swap I think itd be worth pursuing.

I think it sounds fair, but some people won't spend more than $300 on any running car. As long as its solid, the paint and interior is in fair shape on it. Try to talk them down a couple hundred and go from there.

I would pay more for a 99 than a 95, so which is it? ;)

Not sure to be honest, he's going to let me know once he sees it later this week. He was the buddy of mine who came with us to SDAC who was all into Honda's until we showed him what SDAC was all about!

my question is what did they do to the wiring to get the 2.4 to work.Professionally done doesnt mean they did it right. If he's still interested I can go look at it.I happen to know I thing or two about neons:rockon:
