so I broke the steering lock on my car cause I had to move it and there was an issue with the whole key turn and push the rod to start the car but I got it started but the wheel was still locked. Now that it is all fubared do I need to swap a whole column or can I just take the wheel off and take some stuff out of the column to remove whatever is scraping/popping every full turn of the wheel?

another questino would a tilt column out of a 89 lebaron fit my shadow?

hehe niether of my cars have the steering lock in them. I love it that way. Now just to install some toggles and a starter button and get rid of that key all together :)

I believe you could just repair your column, but swapping in a new column would be much much simpler. I'd think R&R could be completed in under 45 minutes.

As far as fitment of the LeBaron piece, I think it would fit. If both models are in the junkyard, you could always pull the J-body piece and then bolt it into a shadow to see.
