I'm in the hunt for an 89 turbo hood as close too 17325 as possible. It must be from an 89 model year car to fit what I'm using it for. Color doesn't matter, but it must be straight and "0" rust.

I have a 93 Shadow turbo hood in trade or for sale if anyone is intersted...

What's the difference?

Hood latch area is different. They changed the rad support and the underside of the hood when the Shadows where offered with the V6 option.

the hood will still work you just need to move the latch. I have an 92 v6 hood on my 89.

That's not going to happen on my 17k mile CSX. I too considered moding the hood that I have, but I want a direct bolt on.

Well, looking at my CSX-T and the '94 Duster sitting next to it, the front line of the hood is different also, the older one on the CSX the front lip is cut back over the headlights a bit, whereas the newer one is straight all the way across.

So 87-88 are different from an '89 also?

I was always under the assumption the latches from the newer ones will bolt on and it will fit the 89. A friend had a newer hood on his 88 which should have the same rad support as the 89. If you cant find a hood I would just get another latch and change it. Just box up and save your original.

The 87 88 hood is different but you can use a newer hood on one of these. It covered the headlights a little. I actually liked the look. It was not that noticeable because it took me a few days before it caught my eye.

Troy, you may be able to use a 1990 hood also. I've got an 89 bulge hood and 90 flat hood in my stash and both look to have the same latch mounting and location (unfortunately, neither hood is of the quality you would want).

The Core support and hood latch change was in the 91 and P-bodies cars. Most of the 91 up bulge hoods were on V6 cars also, so they have a different cutout for engine clearance on the bottom as well.

Can you see if P body fenders are still available ? I was told they were but that was awhile ago and they wanted like $150/each for them.

There was a turbo shadow ragtop at thre jk today and a couple of others with the hood. I know one was a V6 so that won't work.
