I need a recommendation for spark plug gap in my SL. I know that this subject has come up before but I haven't been able to find a recommendation for my particular application. Any help would be appreciated. I will be running RN9YCs at 18-20 psi and I am running an MSD-6A and MSD wires with a Rich Bryant cap. Also, a ported 782, ported 2-piece, ported EM, Taft S2, +40s, 3-bar, 46-trim .63 AR, and fuel pressure at 55 psi. Thanks, David

I would start off with them gapped at stock and reduce it if you're blowing it out. IIRC stock is .32.

With the MSD box you should have no problem with them at .035" stock gap :thumb:

Thanks, I had been running RN12YCs at .035" with previous set-up at 15 psi. I wasn't sure with the higher boosts if I should reduce the gap. Thanks again for the help. That is exactly what I wanted to know.

A lot depends on what cal you're running too... if you have some crazy triming in it, then it doesnt matter how much gap or how cool the plug is.
