Hi, I bought one from FWD Performance and I´m confused. I´ve read on other forums that each mark represents 2 degrees. The Fidanza cam gear reads to 12° meaning that each mark is 1°... so wich is the correct reading? :(

Thanks

each mark is 1° on my fidanza cam gear...40 teehth which means each tooth is 9°. From 0° (in the center) to the bottom of the next tooth is 9 marks

What he said. I just received mine as well.

Perhaps 2 degrees is for Gary's?

The cam turns 1/2 the speed of the crankshaft so each degree of camshaft rotation is two degrees of crankshaft rotation.

Thanks

With my roller cam/square tooth set up, would this be correct for getting my 4* back? Cam key/small hole lined up w/ first unbroken rib on VC, cam cap lines horizontal through left and right holes. I painted it so you can see the marks. Did I retard it more, or is this right? One tooth swings it a total of 9* to 5* in the opposite direction.
