89 t2 balance shafts

motor is in an 89 shelby daytona i was curious if they were there so i know if i have to remove them or not

any help is appreciated :thumb:

Look at the oil pan, if it has BS's, it will be deep with an angled section, if none, it will have kind of a Crop circle bottom.

Why remove them?

i thought they like to blow up when you start making decent hp? the pan is flat accross the bottom

No, RPM kills them, not power.

Take a pic of the pan and post up.

i thougth the ones without the balance shafts had something about the size of a coffee can sticking down down in the middle forthe pickup?

Thats a 2.5/balance shaft pan.

non BS has a very defined 'sump' in the center with the drain plug in the back.

i didnt know what you meant by crop circle.... so uhhh how exactly do i find out what ive got...idk which numbers to post up or where to look them up
