These are the lower, rear coil spring isolators. People have been asking me to make these for years. I finally have them made. I have installed and tested them on a LeBaron Coupe. They fit and work great. Easy to install. Only $24 for the pair and $6 for shipping.

Here is the link for the product:

Johnny,

I got the Isolators today and wow that was fast! I'm changing some springs in the next few days and these will continue to help me rebuild the car. They look like the car will become even tighter on the road.

Thanks,

Marion

"IF" I make these, I was thinking....the rubber squishes and the poly won't so much. That would raise the car a little. SO, I was thinking of making it a little thinner.

I'd like to hear that he is going to make that alternator adjuster thing. Haven't seen one yet that the rubber is cracked and coming apart.

I actually wouldn't have a problem prying my wallet open for one of those, or three.

Talked to him briefly at Carlisle today. Doesn't sound like it's going to happen anytime soon.

Issue is, isn't there many styles of these?
It's not like I can make one or two to fit all the cars.

No, the latter one which fails so horribly is the same on all the cars. I have pulled the same one off of many different cars. It's the right one in this pic.

Does the dealer have them?
Why rubber? Can it be solid?

The dealer does, but I have read they are well over $100 for a new one these days. I believe it is there to dampen the vibes to the alternator. If you look at all three of those tensioners they all have some form of rubber bushing in them. The one on the right is the worst for falling apart.

I guess if everyone wanted one, AND they sent me their core, AND they wanted to take the time and work to take the rubber out, AND clean up the parts.......I could pour them with polyurethane. I'd have to have a bunch before I could start.
SO that said, you could start a new thread to see who would do it.

When I had my first gen. Neon, I like so many others, was trashing the front motor mount from spirited driving, some h.p. and a 5 spd.
A company called "Deyeme Racing" was taking the factory mounts and filling the voids with his special mix of polyurethane. He started with a few and mainly did this on a exchange basis, charging for cores. The factory mount was open on both sides, just like the alternator mounts. Not sure if this would work in our case, but here is a link to his web site.

Travis did all the work, just sent him the old one. I think he made people wait until he had some cores to work with.
