Today I pulled the engine harness from my 87 CSX so I could begin tracing the fault in the HEP wiring. I layed the harness out next to a low miles 88 SMEC T1 P body harness and noticed the connectors that pass through the firewall are exactly the same.
What do you guys think about converting the CSX over to use SMEC electronics? I currently have no replacement LM/PM's, but I have about 10 socketed SMECS to play with. If I remember correctly, there are some nice 3 bar calibrations for the SMEC as well...
