Moved or removed wiring and hoses on 87 GLHS to get to positive cable to solenoid on starter. Never replaced cables on this type of car before. What does it take to change positve cable? It is starting to look awfully cramped. The negative cable has two connections. The ground goes to the side of the head, but that cable has some of its rubber stripped off and connected to another wire that is connected elsewhere (I have not followed it all the way to the end). I guess this is normal for this car? I do not know.:confused2: Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm looking at 1988 L body wiring diagram and it shows three other wires spliced off of that ground cable: a A/C clutch, radiator fan motor, and alternator.

I guess it depends on if you want it to look factory, if you do just go to advanced or autozone and they have ones hanging on the wall that have like 3 leads off them.
