Roof Rack

I feel dumb asking this, but how do I attach my mountain bike to my van's roof rack? :o

Duct tape? Bungee cords? Or, go out and buy a bike rack designed to attach to the factory roof rack. The van roof rack is multipurpose, designed for cargo and what not, not bikes specifically. They never made a Trek edition turbo van..
