View Full Version : Heater fan wont work (87 daytona w/ 89 electronics)

I swapped a 89 dash harness into my 87 and now the fan for the heater wont work. Anyone have an idea of what connection or what ever i may have missed???

Anyone got any ideas of what I shoul dlook at. Where are the grounsd and stuff for the fan it's self?

Ground and power are wired to the fan. I'd probably apply 12 volts straight from the battery for a moment to see if it spins. Also, check the fuses and relays then see that you're getting 12 volts across the wires going to the fan when the coolant temp is about 3/4 to hot. If not then there may be some broken wires.

You need to find out if its a power or a ground problem. Check to see if you have power in the dark green wire at the blower motor plug with the key on. Its a ground control system meaning 12 volts is always going to the blower motor when the key is on, and the ground side does the switching.

I guess i wasent to depictive when i did the orignal post back then.

It's the connection behind the glove box i need to figure out. the 87 male end on the fire wall is differnt then the 89 female end of the wires. I need to get this working asap! any help would be great guys. thanks again
