So I bought the T249 timing belt today, seems kinda short for my application...
Looks to be a clearance issue with the PS bracket/stud.

Any thoughts on using the T251???

It might give more flexibility on tensioners, etc.... If there were more slack in the belt one could maybe use the PS bracket stud as a mounting point for the idler itself. :nod:

Thoughts??

I used the 249 belt along with a tall block tensioner. I had to do a little grinding/fitting of the brackets and tensioner but nothing dificult at all. The longer belt may work with the stock tensioner but I don't know anyone who's used it. Give it a whirl and see what happens. Worst case you have to bring the belt back.

I orderd the 251 belt, it will be here tomorrow.

I'll do the research for the team...... :D

T251 = EPIC FAIL!! :yuck:

It's not 2 inches longer, it's 2 FEET longer.... :mad:

ouch! You'll need a few more tensioners to take up the slack!
