So I've been manically trying to get my fresh rebuild up and running for the past 4 days, no luck. One problem had turned into another (geez maybe I shouldn't be working on cars!) and I was just about ready to chaulk it up to a bad socket job on my SBEC. While looking at it I found this! Looks like this cap has seen better days...

Hmm, whats under there?

D.M.M says this thing is definately junk, I just hope this is the extent of the damage... Does anyone know the SBEC well enough to tell me if this one capacitor could result in basically a non functioning SBEC?

Not sure if these pics are showing up like they should so here is a link to my Picasa web album: djtang's web album (http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/8BnrKeUpYWb1vR6RqHKj5g?authkey=Gv1sRgCKG5zdrwse6nc A&feat=directlink)

Changed the cap from the 220 uf, 25v to a 220 uf, 35v I got at radioshack, still no luck! Is there anyway to test the SBEC out of the car? I'm fairly certain the chips are burning correctly as I was able to read codes a couple days ago and the fuel pump did prime at key on. Then for some unknown reason I no longer got any CEL, fuel pump prime, or momentary + coil voltage at key on...
