I recently bought a two piece intake and it came with a support bracket. None of my service manuals show how to mount it. I haven't seen it in any of yalls pics who have a two piece either. Any body know where it goes?

Are you referring to the fuel rail mounts or the on off the rear of the intake near the TB?

not the fuel rail mounts. must be near the throttle body then?

I believe it goes under, there is a maybe 12mm bolt thread there. I had fun chasing a high idle since it goes into the plenum. The other end must go to the end of the head.

15mm bolt head under the turn of the throat of the IM and behind the TB. Other end connects to the side of the front of the head. And, yeah, if you forget to install it, then yhou'll have a massive air leak and a 2000 rpm idle.

Or just put a bolt in with sealer without the bracket. Alot of us never use it, :thumb:

What's :thumb: about that? I wouldn't second guess Ma and Shel.

You can drill the bolt and JB weld a Gary D BOV brake line barb into it for another vacumm take off . . . .

I don't have a bracket on my "2 piece" intake anymore :( Course I shaved 3 lbs off the whole thing so maybe I don't need it.
