this car club also has an annual show at Holley Dodge in Bristol where they allocate the only dirt area in the show to the fwd class even though there was lots of nice empty paved areas.

Yeah i will take my car. My dad gave me the Ads, he knows all the guys at the dealership and he stores his bike in the show room over the winter, so they know my car and they said bring it and recruit some others too.

Kelly no, i see this show is at Yankee Harley-Davidson right? I'm not familiar w/ that place, is it nicely paved? I should have my car done by then and hope to be there, if they dont stick us on a pile of dirt and loose rocks like they do at Holley.

I didn't see you said it was Holley Dodge the first time through, that dealership is in Middletown. I havent been to that show since 2002 I believe.

Thought that club sounded familiar. I went to their 2000 show at Burnside CPJ and won the long distance award. Very nice vehicles in the club at the time!

Its a brand new building and parking lot (paved) but its not very big if you ask me. But they seem to think it will be fine, There may be a rear lot that I have never seen though.

Its only rain. I will just never understand because i drive my glhs everyday, rain or shine. If it sat in my garage i would put it on ebay. Its my daily driver and i like to enjoy it everyday. Mines not that nice compared to his tho, but even when i paint mine it will still sit outside everyday and get daily driven as much as possible.

This has been a weird stretch of forecasting. It has changed so much every day! Just 2 days ago it was saying 60% chance of rain and showers likely all day. now it is saying 30% and pm showers.

Anyway I didn't have time to clean anyting up for the show so I'm just going to cruise over in the Spirit or GLHS.

friggin rain! it rained a bit this morning, but cleared up fast. I didnt want to ruin the detailing work i spent the whole week on by driving in pockets of rain, so i decided to cruise with the local car club in the loyalty day parade here in town.
wow, what a response! people were stepping in front of the page so they could take pics and thumbs up!! I hear people in the crowd saying things like"thats a shelby" and what the #@#%$ is that thing.. LOL!!!

Both your Shelby and the ES were very nice cars. While I voted for your Shelby, the ES did look like it was just pulled out of the show room. It was a tough choice between the two of you and the Intrepid, but I don't believe the Neon should have beat you though. Personally, I felt that was last place in the class even though I know the owner. Her head lamps were very clouded and she didn't have her hood open.

Nice pics and I agree that the ES was really nice as was the owner. I felt that the Intrepid guy was there hawking some product and the Neon just sort of showed up like me. Any which way, it was a great show and there were some amazing rides there.

Edit: In all fairness too, I should have prepared a bit better, but I wasn't sure if the show was going to happen. The car was in it's raw form, no polish or any of that, so I'll be ready next time.

ah, that gold Lancer...seen it many times at many shows. It is very original and in probably the best overall condition of any Lancer i have seen in a long time. I also lost to it at Mopars In Motion car show in Vernon, think it was 2005.

Hood shut in a car show? that's an automatic disqualification in my book no matter how nice the car is otherwise.
