Original P/N 4421158
Superceeded to G0089632

which is now the generic one size fits all rear shock absorber for all K based cars.

what was the application for the original P/N ? none of my catalogs list it

thanks as always.

According to the '89 Parts Catalog I have, they were standard shocks (as opposed to "special sport suspension" or "premium" ones) for the J body (LeBaron coupe) and G body Daytona.

Thanks, exactly what I needed to know. since those were the heaviest of these cars. There probably a stiffer shock than a comparable P body spec'ed one ?

Possibly. I can't say for sure. I wouldn't think they'd be too much stiffer since they are not the performance ones though either. Regardless, after all these years I guess they wouldn't be worth a darn! lol Kind of makes you wonder why they did so many different shocks for the different models when new if they felt later they could replace them all with the same one.

Well for 3 pairs its less than $60 shipped to my door so I'll give them a shot. :)

If they are still "new" then they should be fine. I was referring to them still being on a car from day one.
